Stephane Roche becomes CEO of Ventio
Technical Director for the past 2 years, Dr Stephane Roche took up his new position as Chief Executive Officer of Ventio at the end of April 2024. This appointment recognises the work of a man who has helped position the company at the crossroads of MRI physics, biomarkers and neurodegenerative diseases.
Having worked for over 20 years in internationally renowned research organisations, Stéphane Roche has led national and European research projects in various universities and hospitals, as well as with the CEA, CNRS and INSERM. Throughout these years, his primary objective has been to bring biomarkers and innovative therapies to the bedside. To this end, he has participated in the development of cell and gene therapies in the fields of rheumatology and endocrinology, using human stem cells. He has explored the world of protein biomarkers, genetics, epigenetics and now medical imaging to improve the condition of people affected by rare diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, rheumatology and cardiomyopathies.
Convinced that advanced biomedical imaging technologies such as QSM can be brought to the bedside with high added value when coupled with clinical data to improve diagnosis and therapeutic follow-up of patients, Stéphane Roche has become a pillar of the company’s success.
His contribution and vision will enable the transfer of innovative technologies from research into highly innovative digital medical devices that will significantly improve the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s. Firmly convinced that the re-use of health data is a major challenge for the development of more accurate and relevant medical devices, Stéphane Roche has taken up a new challenge by actively participating in the Inter-University Postgraduate Diploma in Data Re-use for Health Research offered by the Universities of Paris-Cité, Bordeaux and Aix-Marseille in partnership with the Health Data Hub.
His innovative and modern vision on this subject will be a strong strategic asset for the company.
With Stephane’s appointment, Ventio is stepping up its commitment to supporting your R&D projects. These technologies will enable our industrial partners and customers to de-risk their developments, and all our customers and partners in the public and private sectors to benefit from the expertise of the inventors and pioneers of the technologies supported by Ventio.
